Vusani is a Chartered Certified Accountant, a Chartered Management Accountant and an ICAEW-Chartered Accountant. He holds an ACCA Public Practicing Certificate and has over 18 years of experience in financial management and financial reporting. Vusani is the company’s valuation and financial modelling expert in South Africa. He specializes in the valuation of small to large private companies operating in various industries. His previous advisory experience includes strategy development, corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, valuations, financial modelling, due diligence reviews as well as financial and treasury management.
Vusani is also and established academic and he currently holds the position of Associate Professor of Finance at University of Venda where he is the Head of Subject: Financial Management. He lectures both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Management Accounting, Corporate Finance, Investments and Portfolio Management and Research Methodology. He also supervises Masters and Doctoral research students in finance and accounting and has published in both national and international journals. He also sits on the University’s Research Ethics Committee. This Committee ensures that all research work is done in accordance with the University’s Research Code of Ethics.
Vusani serves on the Accreditation Committee (ACCOM) of South Africa’s Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors (IRBA). The ACCOM is responsible for the evaluation of applications by professional bodies for accreditation against the requirements of the IRBA’s Accreditation Model.
Vusani is a fellow member of both the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. He is a also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. In addition, he also holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Financial Management Sciences from the University of Pretoria, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance degree from the University of Manchester as well as a Master of Science (MSc) in Finance degree from the University of Leicester.
