Dr. Stan Feldman, our chief valuation officer, has developed an expert valuation system that enables us to produce quickly and cost-effectively an objective and accurate business valuation using the Discounted Free Cash Flow (DFCF) methodology. The DFCF model has been shown in independent, peer-reviewed research to be the most accurate method of valuation for on-going businesses, and DFCF has grown to be the most widely used method of valuation by finance professionals.

Re-Engineering the Traditional Valuation Process

To meet our objective of making business valuation more affordable, we have re-engineered the traditional process along three key dimensions:

• Valuation Rules: We have collected, organized, analyzed, and integrated into our system the logic and rules that a valuation expert applies in generating a cash flow method valuation for each major type of company, that is C and S corporations, partnerships, and sole proprietors.
• Valuation Factors: We have pre-assembled from our unique and comprehensive database of industry-specific data all of the data elements that a valuation expert needs to generate a cash flow-based valuation for a company in any of the 981 non-agricultural industry sectors in the U.S.
• Valuation Reports: We have developed an automated program that generates a fully documented valuation report customized to the business and its industry.

Because each business has its unique elements, our valuation staff conducts a phone review with the user of the valuation inputs and assumptions to make sure that any special circumstances are incorporated into the final valuation results.
